what are you planning on doing to the motor? What extractors/cam/carbs? If your building a racecar with twin sidedrafts, Uber cam and 4-1 extractors then a 2" will be more than enough in my opinion but if its going to be a daily driver get something smaller to fit or maybe go to a performance zorst dealer like powerflow or something and ask them to work out a nice system.

thanks but i've allready read through those documents.....they don'nt mention anything on how to set the secondary barrel's butterfly
I think i'll just give it a good turn and hope for the best . I'll get someone to properly tune the carb later on.

I've read through the weber standard setup guide and every thing is peacy except for: They don't tell me how far to set the second barral its a little screw at the bottom of the carby on the throttle linkages side near the secondary barrel.

Does anyone know what the factory setting is for that little skrew?

hehe not in the highveld, live in strand(30km from cape town). i'm pretty much on sea level, if you look close enough you can see the cars rusting in front of your eyes

I'm only gonna be able to put the carb on this weekend cause i've still got to make an adaptor plate. After that i'll probly get her dyno'ed in the comming month or so. will post specs here and the jets they used.

thanks

My motor is suppose to be standard(the guy i bought it from just got it redone by nissan).
yeah i removed my choke on my old ford sapphire aswell not for performance but because i broke it hehe (my early days).

So i disassembled my carb(32/36) lastnight and made an interesting descovery. main jets:130/135 idle: 45/45 and i think 175/175 aircorrection. Thats a bit small for a 2L motor isn't it but just right for a A14 motor

The carb was in horrible condition had white flakie stuff everwhere, jets where bloked and dirty as hel..l....now squeky clean. the only thing i couldn't get out was the emultion tubes only the back part came of with emultion tubes firmly stuck in carby .
How is a person suppose to remove them if this happens?
