SUPAFATTO the carbs are now on eBay

PIGDOG I won't be able to get pics until the weekend, as the car is at my parents' place. You're welcome to come inspect the car evenings or on the weekend, which would be best.

Regards, Pete.

No she's not rego'd at the moment. Needs an accelerator cable and front calipers fitted. The clutch slips also but I have a brand new heavy duty kit to go with the car.

Okay so this is a sad day for me. My motorbike's broken down, my ute has done a gudgeon pin and work has put me on a four day week. Desperate times call for desperate measures so i'm potentially selling my 1200 wagon and a whole bunch of awesome gear.

I got the wagon off the daughter of the original owner. It's straight but run down, still original paint except for the LHF guard. The only rust I can find is some pinholes in the RHS front floor [from memory]. I've put Late 120y front struts with new monroe HD shocks and lowered HD springs and a set of globe wheels with brand new tyres. Will post pics up soon. The stone tray is very average and the LHS inner guard needs a tidy up but apart from that, she's a beauty. A12 4 speed. Runs okay but needs an accelerator cable. The clutch is shagged but I have a new heavy duty on there for it.
I have a sedan sitting there for parts also.
If you want to restore a wagon, you won't find much better IMO.

Some bits I have are:
NOS taillights and front side indicator lenses
NOS rear bumper
NOS LHS mirror
NOS tailgate handle
A14T/GX type twin carbs with original aircleaner
Complete coupe dash with tacho
Coupe cowl vents Mint
SPare taillights
Spare grilles
Taiwanese front guards BNIB
A14 bottom end [may need for my ute though]
A series extractors
Plus heaps more - going up to my parents' joint to check today.
Buyer of the car will have first option on the bits
Cheers, Pete

I managed to drain mine all over the floor of my ute [through the end of the steering column] when changing the steering column/box assembly... Still stinks 4 months later.
For oil I just used a 80/90w gear oil, the same as is used in the trans and diff.

Yeah these dirty pollies rat on about how much pollution our old babies are making. They seem to shut up when asked how much pollution is produced when making a new car. Plus how many 1-2 year old cars get around with rotten-egg smell produced by spent catalyitc converters.
I've never smelt that from an older car [pre-cat]. I'm sure my 1200 ute [A14 on straight gas] would spit out fewer hydrocarbons than some of the newer cars.

Yeah love the burgundy seats, got a set that colour for my wagon, when I get off my ar5e and actually do something to it...
Nice work so far, good you're doing the paint and panel yourself, look forward to keeping up to date with your progress mate
