any self respecting datto owner will do the conversion them self. but there is nothing wrong with getting a little help here and there. start by getting your new engine. then yank out your old one and stick the new one in with new or modified mounts, then electricals, feul lines, linkages and so on. good luck!

casper i gots faith in ya ole boy. prolly do alot better en me. just wonderin if you can use a blow off valve on a blowthru? not too literate on the turbo aspect here. also the fact i've got an auto so is it gonna be necessary to convert trannies now?

yea, you can use a blow off valve if you remove the internal watsgate. i dont think youll have to convert trannies. the blow off valve will go on the inlet pipe into the intake manifold. the first series is for the ovalport head design. i dont think it will make a difference in heads because i am utilizing the stock intake manifold. the exhaust manifold i am fabing should bolt up and seal to round and oval port heads.

ok, i dont wanna say it again so here.
kit #1-drawthrough non-intercooled
#2-blowthrough intercooled.

i never once said i was going to make a drawthrough with an intercooler. yes, i do agree that would be incredubly stupid to have a drawthrough with an intercooler. ill make another post in a bit with what components i will be using (turbo's, intercoolers.etc)

man, if you really want an intercooler on a draw through system make it yourself. otherwise dont critisize. i ahev a couple buddies helping on these parts so they should most definatly turn out as works of art. no hard feelings.

i never had trouble with my stock carb. i rebuilt it and bolted it on and took off. no dialing in needed usually.

do you have the origional bench seat? try putting 2 bucket seats in, you will los room behind the seats, but you will have more leg room.
