Im not sure that Im entirely convinced, especially after point 3 being introduced as evidence. Ok Nissan is cool but the rest of those British heaps of junk leads me further away from an SU setup. Please dont get me wrong, if a set of SU's were given to me for an A series setup I would endeavour to use them to their fullest. Nutcase, since you are now our resident SU expert, please post some technical info on tuning etc etc as there are plenty of SU's out there...and plenty of keen Datsun owners. We just need educating. Do me a favour though and dont use bad language on the site again....words like Jaguar and Triumph arent acceptable!!!

Hey guys I have a B310 Sunny in Aus and we are using it for khanacross which is a rally/time trial event on dirt. We just bought a fresh A12 to replace the A12A it cam with. The engine mounts do not line up...the A12A originally in the car had engine mounts in a similar position as the A15. The fresh A12 that we are putting in has the engine mounts set further forward to the front of the engine. Is there and adapter kit that can help with this or do I just make brackets to suit???

Talking to CA18_dat yesterday and his CA18DET will be able to boost to 40lb with 400bhp in a 1200 coupe. Nothing much beats that thing on the road or race track for that matter. I'mm pretty sure that will keep you smiling for quite some time. The SR20DET takes up heaps more engine room only or an extra 200cc....

We are all in shock in regards to this news..our condolances to his family both close and extended (NZ fans and fans across the Tasman and the world). He was one of the boys like ourselves struggled to get to the top and blitzed them. He was quoted (thx to Teretonga)as saying 'opportunities come to us in small pieces.' I think we all are like that in this club too. Its not the big one-off opportunites that count, but the small ones taken each day which gives us our victories. We have Possum to thank for a continuing legacy...we are grateful and he will surely be missed.

I agree totally with Stirlingmac. This time last year I had a nice road car...a VX Commodore Wagon with a 5.7Litre (GenIII Chev 350) and 6spd ZF box...nice car. But if I didnt bend it someone else wanted to...had an old bloke drive thru a red light and t-bone me at an intersection and almost wrote me and my 4 daughters off. ---dumbarse..sorry..
Also a friend of mine from work bought (leased actually) an brand new WRX STi....and had every panel on it 2-bobbed only 2 weeks later.
My point is I hate the street....the street sucks.
You cant have a nice car anymore. I now have a 91 Tarago and couldnt be bothered anymore. But the racetrack is a different story...we have especially at state rounds people with respect, plenty of run off area and fire marshalls with the best reputation in the world for getting you out of a burning wreck (just ask Carrol Smith author Drive to Win). We need some sort of education program for both motoring enthusiasts, public and police to get these testosteronites giving their cars heaps where it counts.

Are the strut setup on the Stanza the same as on the 200B's??? I have 200B brake setup with Girlock calipers, and they are apparently the same part # in the DBA catalogue. I have 200B strut tower mounts as well. If anyone has a compatible setup which is fully adjustable for racing please PM me as I am eager to pick up a set for my 1200 coupe.

John Taylor is quietly thinking of putting an Evo 3 AWD running gear into a 1200. If anyone can do it its John. He is a legend with these cars.

Latest news is that his condition has stabilised, but he is still in a medically induced coma. With time rest and prayer, he will be back and racing.
