Whatever is keeping the gasoline out of your stock carb will likely keep it out of the weber too.

That's what I am afraid of, I am going to replace everything tomorrow hopefully. If I put my finger over the gas line where it would go into the carb I would feel pressure correct? That is assuming it is running correctly. When I take everything apart then put it back together it runs fine for a few miles.

What kind of things would keep gas out of my carb?

I have on order a weber but until then, whay would keep gas out of my carb? Looks like all new lines ran on the car. I installed a new fuel filter. What size lines should run on these components?filter to pump to carby? Sometimes there will be gas and it will run great for a few miles then the gas disapears and the car just turnsover but never sucks the gas into the carb......The glass is empty

Again, I know the carb does not suck gas it sucks ass. That's why a weber is on the way....but, until then????

Asking if it was fairly priced AFTER you bought it is probably leaving it a bit late, but in this case you did well.

Now all you need do is scrap that inferior engine & substitute a proper Nissan engine & the world financial chrisis will right itself overnight.
It's amazing the damage a foreign engine in a Datsun can do just with bad vibes.
Switch engines, save the world & restore order to the universe.

Yeah what are you doing with a toyota motor in there? Put a Yugo motor in it. that's what all the Aussie's run.

The seats are very interesting, what BMW are they from? Look like E30 seats, I'd be interested in knowing how much they have been modified to suit. Oh and $1500usd sounds like a steal to me, well done.

Please more info on them seats, can you take a picture of the front and rear mounts. Do they look like they bolted right up?

It's running great today, I filled it with 94 octane and it has been great! The old gas must have aged a bit in the few months it was not driven.

More updated pics of the car, it does have some minor rocker rust but nothing I mean nothing under the car it still has all the factory paint underneath. I had all the rubber carpet out today and these is no rust coming from inside either. The trunk is rust free!

Interior is a bit shabby but fixable.

Do I have to replace this cable? Will the car be impossible to start in the winter?

This is from 2001 I thought this was cool to find under the drivers seat.

Thanks for the tip on the tires, I did look there but must have missed them. I am getting a garage soon, so for a few weeks the car will be on the street. Just ordered the Pertronix ignition, tracking down a webber carb, and should have a set of tires to pass inspection tomorrow.

Glad you got it delivered OK. I hope you have a garage for it. I'd hate to see a nice original car like that get left out in the street.

The Tire Rack [mail order] has three sizes in stock for 12" rims. Take a look HERE.
