Hey Guys, How can I tell the difference between the a12 and a14/15 motors? I have an 84 1200 ute wreck and im trying to work out what motor is in it. The motor in my sedan is clearly marked with a12 on the right side of the block but I cant seem to see it on the ute. Also the utes alternator is on the right hand side. Cheers

Im thinking of fitting an a14 or 15 into my sedan and was just reading on the marty bugs site that if u use a 1200 ute crossmember, the a15 bolts straight up. Is this true? I really want to do an L18 swap but it looks like WAY too much work, has anyone here done it?

Hey team dat,I tried the s13 seats in my ute too but as you probably found out one rail is way higher than the other so it would need some fairly tricky work to fit .What part of Perth u in? Im in Carine

Hey guys, I've just bought a 1200 sedan and I'm hoping you could help me with a few questions. It currently has 120y disks but i'm looking at upgrading to something better and also doing a strut swap, what do you recommend? I also what to lower it and generally improve the suspension, any tips?? One last thing, the diff sounds a bit clunky and I have a 1200 ute diff gathering dust, is it a straight swap, are they any stronger than the sedan diff? As you can tell I'm new to the whole datsun thing so any info is appreciated. Cheers

I ve just bought myself a rust free original cond 1200 ute (for $1300!!) and plan to fit a z18 thats been sitting in the shed for a few years. Just wondering if I have to modify the trans tunnel or not?? Anyone else done the conversion before? Any info appreciated.
