Sorry to say but the gearbox photos wont be of any use the car is a FWD.

I know that my 120A Cherry E10 (1975) came with the F4AW60L or F4WF60A gear box but i wouldnt have a clue as to how to tell them apart. For most of your questions you would be better of posting them on the Datsun owner of Uk web site.

Thats were I get most of my information for my cars from.

have a look at this post from on there.

or go to here for the info on where Eddie (ratdat) has done the conversion before.

its in the technical area.

I dont dare say it but by the time he is old enough to legally drive the 200SX will be slighty older and parts would be cheaper and easier to get than any of the other options you have listed.

If money wasnt an option I would say go for rebuilding one of the datto's but dont forget how hard it can be now to get parts for these olders cars.

Thats just my thoughts on the subject.

I have an a14 out of a N10 Pulsar sitting on its cross member/cradle out in the shed. I also have the A10 engine & gearbox out of the my E10 sitting on the floor. Tell me what photos you want and I will take some for you.

Matbighat where do you find all these datsun photo's. I might have to get you to burn a disc with all your cherry (E10) stuff on it.

Heres the engine bay shot showing the engine mounting positions plus one of the stabilizers that mounts at the top on either side of the engine.

I will try and get a photo of my empty engine bay to show where they mount too and a photo of the mounts on the engine.
