I also think 2200 is a bit rich probably a grand would be tops. I would look a lot closer for rust around the cowl, it has got it quite bad in the beaver panel which would need a fair bit of work. on a brighter note it is a deluxe model with all the options parcel tray which is NLA in black, centre console in VGC sill moulds and if my memory serves right it would have been fully imported from Japan. Did you happen to ask how much for the Jeep ?? cheers Ade
re bumpers, Hi chaps, would anyone have a set of overriders that they would like to sell?? Tim from dimlight was good enough to sell me a set but one is a bit beyond my ability to straighten any help would be appreciated cheers Ade
I think you have got two options first fill it with sealer and let the rust keep growing or rip out the dash and see how far along it is and remove the guard to see if it rusty thru the rail and cut out an inspection hole next to the bonnet hinge that's what we did with mine as I only ever want to fix it once it's a big job good luck ade
I have got a set magnesium momo competition wheels 13x5.5 condition not to bad you would have chase nuts and caps I am Mt Gravatt give me a call if you like 38491150 cheers Ade
nearly all my 1200's had the same problem but it was on the passenger side and it was the cowl rusting away we have just modified my two door by adding bigger drain holes in the side of the rail so all the crap will flow out. grab a torch and a small screwdriver and have a pick at the seam sealer up under the dash if there is any rust you will soon find it.
Just putting in my 2 bob's worth, your steering box contains oil normally the same grade as your g/box, this will flow up the column to some degree it will have a seal where the steering arm comes out of the box it should be a std size so most steering specialists should be able to replace it but it would mean removing the entire column. not a fun job cheers Ade
Hi Chris my plan was to machine down the welded spline so I have a flat centre section to bolt the aftermarket boss to andthanks for the info on the offset and size as I had not got that far. cheers Ade
