I can't imagine that this is all that likely there as it's probably drier there, but on my 1200s I have found rust down inside the scuttle was usually the cause of big leaks. You get
all old leaves and stuff collect in there and it stays damp all the time. You can usually see any rust from under the dash, although sometimes it can be hard to spot. It can be a
pain in the arse to fix too

I drove the 1200 coupe to Holland and back over the weekend to go to a Datsun show at Zandvoort. It ran perfectly inspite of being thrashed for the last 60 miles to get the ferry in
time (85-95mph solid with a stock 1200 is not pleasant!)
Sadly there were no 1200s at the show but there was a nice 1000 two door. I've put the pictures up at www.ratdat.com

Hello 1200ers,
Can anybody tell how difficult is it to get hold of a twin SU carb manifold? And has anybody got one they would like to sell? We never got these here in the UK so I have no
chance of finding one here. I don't mind paying all the costs and shipping from anywhere, really. A stock filter box would be nice too.

Biffyss...If you can't get a wheel I have a good one I can send you from the UK. I don't want anything for it so you would only have to pay postage which would be about $25 airmail

Bummer...1200s are pretty scarce here too. I don't know about sedans but there are only 10 coupes still on the road
in the UK.
