It's not that i WANT to rev my engine to 8400rpm it's the fact that i CAN! It doesn't happen very often and it's not a stocko 120Y auto that gets driven to uni every day. So if i want to i will. My 1200 doesn't have rego and it gets trailered to any event that i do. So if it does go bang SO WHAT..... $300 at a local wrecker will fix that prob and I lose a weekend working on the car. I was just stating a fact so please chill guys...
9000 rpm?? So what! It's an A series and it'll do it all day long.... My A15 pulls 8400 rpm before it valve bounces...... And it will go close to that in 3rd gear..... Chill people! Have faith in the datsun.
Hey guys. I'm going down to wakefield on sunday but i don't know what time everything kicks off and whats on when?? The Datnats web site is not much help.
Hey andrew... I was actually told 170KW's by your mate at unigroup when i had my old bluey dynoed. It pulled 115KW's peaked at 10psi then dropped to 7psi at about 5500rpm...
S13 CA's had a T25 S13 SR's and series 1 S14 (aus delivered) had T25G's........ all later ones had T28BB's I was told that standard 370cc CA injectors were good for around 170RWKW's but then it will go bang..... Your computer may be tuned a bit rich.....
Hey I ran a stock CA20 box in my bluebird behind a CA18DET for around 2 years and never had a problem. I'll also be running one in my 1200 as it will bring the gearstick forward 50mm compared to the S13 box. I have a 71C and a 71B box and i cant see the differance (does anyone know) one is SR20DE and the other is CA18DET. And the CA20 box uses the same bearings as the S13 the only diff is a the gears are a bit narrower and a selector shaft is 2mm wider. So if you put a bush in an SR20 bell housing you can run a CA20 box (might be handy for people doing an SR conversion)
Hey sorry guys i wrote on the page "make an offer" and that's against ebays policy so they pulled it..... would have been nice if they just let me modify the listing... oh well. I relisted and here's the new address. CA18DET on ebay...... still open to offers.
