Yeah Benny, they don't fit over the 'overkill' brakes I just installed on my road car project. Shame though...they are much nicer than the globes we use on the race car and these fit perfectly. Only problem is the race car has several years of us fiddling with suspension settings while running 14" tyres and we don't want to stuff things up for cosmetics.

I think I've read about 50% of this thread....ewww!

C'mon, Dodgeman is a very active member of this website and has added useful and accurate information in hundreds of posts that I've seen. I've rarely found anything to disagree with him on. So please take off your cranky pants and get civilized!!!

Having said that, our race car uses a reversed upper spring with an extra, thicker half-leaf on top of the pack. It seems to work well, but I want to try something softer.

Like bert says, the aim of the suspension modification game is to make your car handle better. Your car needs to put the right amount of weight on the right wheels at the right time, and the target is moving constantly in any given turn.

Its true a car will handle like a sack of potatos if its suspension is poorly setup. An a couple of occasions I've run out of suspension travel in the front end of the race car. I couldn't believe the instantaneous transition from normal cornering to complete understeer. You honestly have more chance of steering a bullet after you've shot it!

I have a nice set of four 13" x 6" Enkei mags in good nick with decent tyres. Comes with one lock nut per wheel, the lock nut driver and the remaining plain nuts. All tyres have similar amounts of tread as pictured.

I am located in Maryland near Newcastle. Come and inspect (and try on your car if you like). Asking $250 o.n.o.

I don't feel that kidney shaped chambers are 'that' limited. And chamber velocity can be gained in other ways

The two prices I got for stroking a crank were exceedling rich. I'd be interested if you know of a cheap, quality shop to go to. There's always different lines of thinking and you present an interesting point of view. I hope you build it and prove it works better!!!
