Went to powercruise today (friday)
DATTOCHICH entered the 120 y and done a damn fine job driving ....Its a bit after 7 now and im going back out now to watch the burnout comp .....................

hi freak id use dubier 2 pak cheap easy to paint and dosent cost a fortune ,if your going black make shure they dont sell you a black tinter they cover like crap .ask for jet black as this is the truest of blacks and covers well Phone MPA refinish supplies PH 38896868 ,ask 4 price on 4lts of berothane 2k color ,1ltr fast hardner ,1 ltre normal hardner ,1ltr fast reducer ,4lts normal reducer ,tell them to chuck in a 2pak stick some paint strainers and a 4ltr tin to mix the paint in .... this should come under $250

At the moment the early datsun club is running a display at the local libary i wll be taking som photos of the things on display well worth going and havig a look

yep Im glad i didnt get mocked for that ,putting it back together well use a spring compressor or get the mechanic who rebuilds the head 4 you to do it .another hint is use gemini valve stem seals heaps better than the old datto one

MY way is a bit animal but it works put the head on a piece of crd board covered with a rag ,place head on ground use a spark plug socket ,place it on the top on the valve spring ,give it a wack with a 4 pound hammer and the collets will pop out and you can now remove the valve and spring.......

Hi every one will be there with bells on .DVLDAT if its just a case of a fuel pump I have a vl we can pull the fuel pump out of you can borrow , you can come to my place early saturday and fit it , we cant have any dattos mssing out ,If you have gotten that far it would be ashame to miss such an event and i dont live far from the track

hey tom210 you datto owners in tassie seem to have the major share hold on these datsun 120y coupes ,when i win tattslotto i will come down and buy them all your cars and nismos wold have to be the most looked after 120y coupes i australia from what ive seen ,may the 120y multiply and never die

HI chris1200t just ran out to the datto the brand name on the electric fuel pump i brought is FACET runs a low psi pump wont blow the needle and seat open on the su on idle but supplies a good load of fuel on boost .\
Cost me about 85$ with hose clamps fuel filter and 2m fuel hose

Ok dazzasute make me up some cardboard templates if you want and i will pay postage to get them to me , that will get the ball rolling ....they would look nice maybe a bigger glove box too.Also available now are the petrol tank covers for the sedan boot ....
