Our friend was a panel beater and he took it back to metal each time for cost of materials as we let him use our small factory to do cash jobs back in the 70s

Tom you are a bit luckier in USA for transmission choice. In AUS there is not a lot of choice i now use a Toyota T50 5 speed std ratios after blowing 3rd gear in my good 4 speed it kept the revs up to a manageable height.it's a shame you are not allowed to use E85 the HP gain is impressive for a small motor but you use a third more fuel. GREG.

Chassis dynos can be inaccurate not like engine dynos but are useful for getting the tune correct and to show where torque and power band is.
This motor has lots more developement left in it if needed.
PS this motor is an A14

Hi Tom from what I have read you have a very GOOD mild race motor with reasonable HP and good reliability which we are all after.
But saying that I have retired my 1322cc sceemer after 7 years of pretty troublefree racing. And have built a 1510cc whith all the things you listed that you could do to yours including 14.5-1 comp and E85 fuel.Dyno SAYS 119.3 HP at wheels but most important the mixtures are spot on for sea level.Let the fun begin.GREG

I am sorry DD I don't know what a tudor is???
That pic is at sandown at the end of the main straightwith 10" wheels and Robs 4door moorfed into a 2door to strengthen up the body to take the power of the motor mounted under the windscreen and the 4 link rear end and rosejointed front end.
Pretty nifty back in the 70s.The car was many colours,Undercoatgrey,,Black&silver,,Blue&white,,and last two blues and pink were the Erand Transport colours who sponsored the car in Melbourne.
So I thought I would replicate the colour scheme for the last car I am building.
