Hi there.
A datsun gearbox that has 56A stamped onto the bellhousing, usually is a four speed out of a 1200, 120y or Sunny that use the A series motor.
There were 3 types of 5 speed gearboxes that were used with the A series.

1: 5 speed non-overdrive, close ratio, 56 series. (ribbed bellhousing)
2: 5 speed with over-drive, dogleg or non-dogleg, 60 series.(60/60A was non-dogleg)
(60/60L was the dogleg)
( smooth bellhousing).
3:5 speed ( used on L series motors, but some were used on A series) (large gearbox, dogleg shifter)

The first two were probably the most common types.
But any 5 speed gearbox for an A series are very rare nowdays.

Anyway see you there around 11am.

Gday how are you.
The doors will not interchange with a coupe as the sedan door will be shorter and maybe a little higher.
As the roof line of a coupe slopes down and therefore the top edge of the door will slope aswell towards the back edge.
Furthermore the coupe door has to be longer to accomodate for the lack of a back door, and so that the rear passengers can get in easy.
Hope I was of some help.

hello Dodgeman
I have decided I wanted a CD, so I have sent you a CD mailer (the dearer type cardboard case),
as I couldn't remember if you said that the CD was in a case or not.
Anyway I have posted it in the mail today(29/3/05), so you should receive it soon.

I have written my postal address on the back for return purposes
So you may have to white out the TO and FROM part on each side of the case, so that you can send it back to me. using the same CD mailer.

If you have any queries dont hesitate to ask.
Thanks, and HAPPY EASTER.

hi Dodgeman
About the FREE PICS.
Are there many 120y's pics on the CD?
If so I may be interested in a copy.

Thanks, it would be a great late easter present.
(BETTER THEN EASTER EGGS!)
