Race 3 from last weekend.
Battery died on the GoPro before the end of the race.
Ended up in front of the Subaru WRX and the White Corolla in 15th place.

ITs funny you should mention that, in that outing I wasn't using heel/toe and experience the diff almost come up through the floor.
I was just being lazy really, whilst not perfect I have used it ever sense.
Ive overlayed some data onto one of the races and will try to get it uploaded tonight, race 1 is a little embarrassing in review, not sure if I will upload that one?

Tom,
Thanks for the comments. I am not a seasoned race drive and this was my first outing in the car or on a race track for that matter. I have not given any thought to my hand position and the effect it might have. I think in the video it looks smooth because i really wasn't pushing the car to its limits evident by the amount if time i picked up even in the traffic of a race.
I am not getting good drive out of the corner. I think this is a function of me holding tight too long and not letting the car drift to the outside of the track, i think i am driving it to the outside more then being on the limit; and also the LSD could use some work, as it results in one wheel spin.

I am not sure i have the feel you are discussing though. I have a rough sense of when the car is going to unload the rear tire/s. It does feel like it is jacking quite a bit in the corner.

Had a good weekend at my first race meet (Sydney motorsport park).
I had my Observed Licence test on Friday. (passed and won the race tic ).
Saturday I qualified 24th with a 1:49.95.
Race 1 tried to stay out trouble and ended up coming 18th, best lap was a 1:51.15.
Race 2 was very short, only 3 laps due to some incidents on the warm-up lap. Finished 18th with a 1:49.71.
Race 3 was the best fun, had a good race with a WRX and a corolla, finished 15th. Best lap was a 1:48.79.
Car survived the weekend and looking forward to the next event.
Car has so much more potential, getting power down was a bit of an issue, LSD was letting go earlier then I would like, spinning one wheel. Might shim it up, if that doesn't work a spool might be in order (Can't afford a Kaaz or TRD ramp LSD).

Here is one lap worth of oil map.
Shows the logged data and trouble points.
This was during the run in the video.

Wards,
Yeah I would be interested, it was on my upgrade path.
I have a spare sump ready to be modified.

Cheers

Back down to the Creek on Friday.
Had a mixed bag of a day.
Radiator looked like mud after first run, rust buildup came loose. Flushed it but that took till lunch.
After lunch had a run and one of the oil cooler lines came loose sending oil under the car and onto the exhaust manifold.
It is in a bitch of a spot to tighten. Thought I had it so back out for another run and same issue.
Video attached of the last run up until the oil issue again.
You might notice my Oil pressure warning light, I have to fix the warning table in the dash. There is one part of the circuit where I am getting 40-45psi at 6k rpm which is lower then the table is set (after turn 3 over the crest of the hill).
Lap times are dropping heaps, more left on the track as the video will show.

Time to clean out the garage. Located in Newcastle.
I have a few boxes of stuff to go (Either someone gets it or it goes to the tip).
Free if you want to take the lot (Pick up only, bit of a lucky dip).
What's in the boxes, mostly off a Coupe (some CA18DET stuff).
Rear ashtrays, sun visors, pedal box x2, coupe side vents (External), headlights, dash vents, Dash insert (Round face), coupe rear shocks, steering parts, R31 struts (Spring perch cut off for coilover), stainless mandral bends, blowoff valve, Coupe wire harness, CA wire harness (mostly all there), CA18DET block(disassembled), CA intake manifold Inc throttle body, central locking kit, Big yellow flares, two guards (Seen better days), 1200 bonnet with vents (seen better days), two coupe doors (RH +LH - heavily dinted but not rusty), Coupe fuel tank modified for external EFI pump pickup and return line, Sedan (or Wagon) fuel tank. Heater Box complete. Radiator with thermo fans (three core custom made to suit CA in a 1200).

What I'd like to sell:
$350
Unfinished Coilover setup. Shortened Stanza struts (200b length I think) with Maddat coilover threaded sleeves, Pedders gas shocks, coilover springs (200lbs), spare 250lbs springs, R31 calipers (Spare pair of calipers) on 260mm disc, Fit under 14s (setup done less then 1000kms), lucas Brake pads. One hub modified to suit.
What needs to be done, On Hub is not right, you will need a new hub machined to suit the good one. New bearings will be required plus bolts to put it all together, cheap setup when you consider coilover sleeves are $250 a pair.

$100
Sandblasted and lip polished TRX rims x4 with a set of wheel nuts to suit (With tyres). Pick up only.

Drop me a PM if your interested.
