why cant you can just drill 3 (extra) holes

Yeah your dead right dazza1200. With a 13mm stud hole you will end up with 4.95mm between two of the holes so you could just redrill and don't need to reweld my bad.

I think the prospect of a track day with cars you are familiar with is exciting. I would be fairly intimidated going to a day where my car would hold up others on the track, whereas with friends from the club it would be just good fun.

Like Derek said it does cost extra money over and above a normal cruise (tyres, brakes, insurance, etc) and for that reason it's not a common thing to do. Therefore I would prefer to do that one off track day with other friends/like cars.

I am starting to warm to the drags though and really enjoy the grudge match it can provide. I work right next to Willowbank and drive my datto to work every day so if anyone is going out that way let me know I'm always keen.

As for static displays I don't think my car is in a state for a static display otherwise i would have it at every one available.

Caltrac on standard/upgraded springs.
Plenty of Drag cars do well with this system.

Good luck getting a 4 link certified by Queensland Transport. If you do i'll happily copy your application :)

we use MEK for cleaning ink printers at work... never considered it for a paint stripper but yeah i reckon it would do a good job!

MEK being methyl ethyl ketone If so i would not touch it witha barge poll.

I don't make them commercially, i bought the extrusion from CAPA in sydney, it was approx $60/meter which will make 2x rails.
Most of the work can be done on a lathe/drill press but the standoffs were machined on a CNC Mill I have at work.
After i install mine and if we get some spare time at work i might run a couple through, no promises at this stage.

Getting close to the power tune now (engine has 5000kms on it) and want the most out of this tune so have decieded to overhaul the fuel system.
Engine is a forged CA with a Gt2876r turbo.
Currently running VL fuel pump standard rail/reg and Supra 440cc injectors.
Made 200hpatw on 7psi boost (rev limited 6500 run in tune).

New fuel system has Bosch 044 pump Speedflow check vavle, 3/8 AL lines, Fuelab reg, fuelab 10 micron filter, custom fuel rail (My design - twin feed, centre return), -6 braided line throughout. Just need a couple more fitting and new injectors (660cc) and its back on the dyno :)
here are the new goodies (losts of bling :)
