the car has a tandem master cylinder ....and it worked perfectly with the drums......
i bled the master cylinder and it has heaps and heaps of air and i thought that would have fixed the problem but...NO it still ants to do it
as for the master cylinder ....it holds pressure really well.....like if i pump the brakes up really hard and leave them over night....when i get in the car in the moring and push the pedal it will still be rock hard.....its only when i drive along that it looses pressure.......
thats why i am sorta agreeing with the brake "knock off"
ps i also noticed that on the outa side of the disc only half the pad is being used.....and on the inner side all the pad is being used?????? pps. i used the pads that came with the discs before i had them machined .....could this be possing a prob....they look to be in good condition???
thanks again for the help

after bleeding the master cylinder the problem is still there.........so im thinkin it could be the "pad knock off" sumthing must be pushing the pads away from the disc so that i need to pump them to get them tight......but the discs have just been machined and the car doesnt vibrate when braking at say 100km/ph
as for booster....i have none calipers are on the right side brakelines are new
the pistons rolling back on the seals........um well i dunno about this.......should they be????? i know i put brand new seals and pistons in .....but yeh thats all i know....
this is really great and i really appreciate the responses.....thanks again

the brake people reckon my master cylinder is fine cause it holds pressure really well like if i build the pressure up while stationary and hold my foot on the brake...the pressure is great and it doesnt die down.......

well i havnt touched the rear brakes at all....like they have been left in tact the whole time.....and when i slam my foot on the brakes hard...my rear wheels lock up as the usually do.....but yeh if u reckon they need doin to i will......
as for bleeding the master cylinder......no i havnt bled it........could it still have air in it regardless that i have bled the lines a billion times???
do i not need a proportioning vavle as the discs need different pressure from the back drums?????
let me guys
thanks heaps for ur help

this is a real doozy.......
i have just done a stanza front end conversion......i have machined the discs and re-kitted the calipers
when the car is off and i put my foot on the brakes, the brakes feel very spongy....and pretty much just sponge all the way to the floor.... but after a few pumps they feel great and will stay like that ....UNTIL
when i take off and then go for a drive, the brakes will loose all pressure and it will feel spongy and again will pretty much sponge down to the floor.....
if i pump it while driving it will feel great ...but after driving for about a km the brakes will disappear again...and sponge down to the floor.....
me and my mate have bled and bled and bled the brakes...and we are 100% sure we cannot get anymore air outa it......
i was also told that maybe i didnt tension my wheel bearings properly and the brakes have to try and squeeze the disc back into place.....anyways we checked that and they are fine.....
does anyone have any damn idea what is goin on....cause 3 brake shops have no clue......
pleeeaaaseeee help

from what u said u are runin standard brake lines.....do u meen standard stanza or standard 1200 cause by the looks of things 1200 have a different connections.......
the deal with my calipers is that they are seized and the brake shop told me im up for 200 to rebuild them and that doesnt include resleeving apparently....just incase it needs it....
everything else is in great condition that came with the struts discs..etc
