On my ute with 120Y struts I ran the 195/45 rubber with no probs.

I wanted to go 185/40, but the price was off putting. Something like $40-$50 more each, and I get my tyres cheap.

why?, with transplants, it goes by the tare weight of the sedan, but i thought 690kgs for ute

If it's '72-'74 model it will go off the weight of the wagon. Tare weight for engineering is calculated off the heaviest variant of that year model.

My rego papers on the ute I just sold also had the tare weight as 690kg, and it's a '79 model, so I'd stand by this.

Wish I could find one that good for $100.

And yes, with the Aussie dollar soaring at the moment it really would be only $100.

Not at the moment, they come up from time to time on eBay.

If someone is advertising one on this site you've gotta get in early as they are extremely popular.

All the cool people I know are Dattomasters!!!!

I was a bit shocked my wife had that many posts, so I dared her to unearth an old post whoring thread to boost it up.

In all honsty I think 90% of Kirstie's posts have been helping members out with clickable links or posting photo's, so she's definitely been helpful.

The ute left my possession today, a real sad thought given my problems with finding a suitable replacement vehicle. Thankfully it's been transferred to a caring owner. He already has a Z18 sedan, don't know if he has any plans for my old ute. Hopefully he'll take my advice and join this site and let us know.
