Bought these last year to fit to my ute. Due to problems with the old girl I never got round to fitting them and today a nice gentleman handed me a wad of cash and drove off in her (miss it already). So now these carbs are of no use to me.

Pics and info are in this thread:

Honestly I'd love to keep them for a rainy day, but moving into a new house has cost me a fortune already and I could do with some extra cash (Kirstie is adamant I'm buying her a pure bred Boxer). First person that gives me $300 can have them. Will gladly post anywhere at buyers expense.

I like that cement idea, no more hi-fill for me!

I'm not too dodgy. Once used chicken wire to attach an exhaust to a trail bike. It still rattled around everywhere, but didn't burn anyone, so it worked.

When my dad was young he had a VW bug. He told me once he used one of those #### off thick rubber bands as a stop gap when the timing belt went. I thought it was BS until a mates timing belt in his bug went. As a quick fix I jokingly said we should try the rubber band trick, and #### me, it worked. The car ran like clockwork.

unfamilia - I've looked at anything Datto, and as yet haven't come across a good example. Either they have no rego or need some work.

Mitch - that sedan is certainly on my watch list. If need be I may be able to come up with that kind of scratch. Depends what the ute goes for.

For those interested the reserve is set at $2k for the white ute, offers over $3k will get the whole lot.

I know I said I didn't want to reveal the reserve, but I've relented for my fellow 1200 forumites. I'd prefer it goes to one of you guys.

Auction ends tomorrow y'all.

Looks like I'm gonna have to buy something other than a Datto to run around in, there is a distint lack of them within my price range for sale at the moment.

Understandably, people just don't wanna get rid of them.

The auction is still going mate, but I lowered the reserve as the sale no longer includes the shell. So to answer, yeah, the white ute is for sale by itself.

Deadset, what a wanker! Sells you the wrong thing, doesn't have the balls to tell you he has no idea, keeps your money and becomes a total asshole over it.

You've done the right thing in telling us mate. Hopefully no one else will suffer your pain.

Yeah, it's a pain in the you know what. I figure I'd get more selling them together, but we'll wait and see. I may end up just selling my ute.

I'm in the market for a new car regardless. If the utes don't sell I won't be too disappointed, just concerned with the amount of money that will be jumping out of my wallet.
