Just loaded up a sick Decepticon insignia as my avatar and it got me thinking, what ever happened to cool #### like this?

Wondering what you guys loved when you were kids and what stuff may need to make a comeback?

How many A series engines are for sale, and what mods do they have?

How much is he after for these different engine and gearbox combos?

Beer and rooting has been known to cause the hungover/who the f... are you effect.

In some severe cases it can lead to blind love and even worse, marriage. I can attest to this.

DVLDAT, if you had your P's before the new rules came in you can still drive it. There was a mad rush the week before these laws came in when all the young wogs and Asians realised they weren't gonna be able to drive their turbo charades or R33's oe whatever other crap they run around in.

Like a convo I had with a psychologist. I'm very sceptical of doctors prescribing Ritalin and other anti-depressants to any kid that might be a little bit of a prick. She agreed with me, saying its scary how most docs hand 'em out like they were candy.

Props to phunk for standing up and admitting he may have been wrong.

Can't wait till my little girl starts. She's only 4 now, but already tucking money away for her first ride. I've never seen a girl her age so addicted to cars.

Hope I have as much fun as you guys are now.

I like to take an even handed approach to everything I'm part of, so here I go.

Phunk is somewhat right, you all have lied in some way to make a gain. Everyone has lied at some point in their life. What he is saying with the offer of service is also technically correct in it is not illegal. The Dept of Fair Trading wouldn't even investigate this claim.

Where he is wrong is trying to defend something that is ethically wrong. Law isn't ethical and vice versa. Claiming something is right because it doesn't break a law is a half truth.

As an academic in this field I do not agree with his defence of these tactics, but legally the practice cannot be stopped.

P.S - Phunk man, you shouldn't argue the point, just let everyone have their say and move on. Unfortunately sticking up for yourself looks like an admission of guilt to the masses.

I agree with freak somewhat. V8's rule the roost when it comes to smoke, but any engine with good power and the correct drivetrain set up can still pull a wicked burnout. Just check this months Street Machine, there's a 6cyl 1200 ute producing tons of smoke.

I have something that may interest you. Got for sale a 1981 BMW 318 with little rust and a buggered engine. You could drop a rotary or 6cyl in this easy, maybe even a 3.5L Rover V8 (the engine bay is huge once you pull out all the useless BMW crap). Weighing in at 1000kg's this would be one unique burnout machine.

Come to think of it, I may do this myself.

If it has to be street legal, bolt a supercharged four pot to a morris minor. I've seen a few of these with various engine combos that can lay waste to rubber.

For a dedicated burnout machine try a V8 mini or moke, or for easier conversion a Gemini.

There was a twin turbo 351 Excel at Summernats two years ago in the burnout comp, went alright til it hit the wall. How about a similiar set up with an 8/71 blower out the bonnet!!
