Correct me if I'm wrong b310gx, but I was led to believe it isn't illegal to install a nitrous bottle on NSW roads, but only to have it connected.

I know of cars that have got away with them on board when checked by tha coppers as the lines had been closed off.

First of all thanx to everyone that helped me out with my cold start problem. I needed the carby rebuilt as all the internals were screwed, amazed it would start at all.

Now that it works I'm so impressed with the performance I'm shelving plans for a CA18 and just wanna tidy up my A12. Brings me to the question, what upgrades are available?

I would like any info on stuff like twin carbies, pistons, camshafts, headwork and the like. Where can I get gear like this or who might be able to do the work for me? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

His name's Guiseppe Bartuccio. His brother-in-law owns AAA Malibu Smash in Minto, one of the Desisto brothers, try reaching him through them.

Good luck if he wants to sell it though, IDTIGR is the hottest ute out period. First ever four pot to take out Top Judged Street at Summernats, it's faultless.

How should I go about checking the carbie? I'll admit that I had resorted to dropping a little fuel down the carbie, but even this couldn't make it fire, at least not until the weather warmed up.

Could it possibly be a fault with the fuel pump?

My 1200 picks and chooses when it wants to start. The cold really gets to it, but I can't diagnose why.

I pulled the starter and alternator from the motor and tested them both. They worked fine so it was time to look somewhere else. Testing the dizzy showed a problem with the advance, so I had it recoed. It drove brilliantly for one day and that was it.

Now the engine cranks hard at first turn but won't kick, and the battery runs down quickly. It occasionally starts when the weather gets warmer. I'm out of ideas, someone help a brother out? Please?

Did u pick this thing up of ebay?

I'm sure I saw this exact sedan there. It looks like a great base for a CA18 conversion.

Maybe we're all missing the point. Pareto's Law (the 80/20 rule) shows that 20% of people who drive will always be idiots no matter what the Government might push in advertising.

It's useless to talk junk like compulsory defensive driving courses and the like, because there will never be zero idiots on the road.

Feel strongly about it by all means, but in life there is only so much one can do.
