Hi guys and gals, Just wondering when the 1200 was first releised in Australia. I've got a sedan that iI bought from the original owner a few years ago and she says that she had to wait for it for two months. It is plated " JUNE 1970" and has the jap style mirrors on the guards. I'm suspecting that this car was one of the first 1200s sold, at least in South Australia. Also can you tell by the body number what number down the line at datsun it was? Cheers for your help. Adam.

Hi, I believe that the rear diff in a B310 (sunny) is the same as a sedan one, I'm 99% sure as I have used a selby aftermarket sway bar that came off a wagon on my sedan. The diff should fit on your back seat, you may need to roll your passenger seat forward a bit. Cheers. Adam.

There was one for sale in the Melbourne Trading post about a year ago, It was a basket case, no badges but it had GX on the compliance plate. So they do exist in OZ. Cheers. Adam.

"Peter Perfect" The one true gentleman of motor racing. 9 Bathurst wins, 10 if you include his 24 hour victory In his 427 Monaro in 2002.
I had the chance to meet the man a few times and had one lengthy one on one coversation with him when he signed my car. The man always had time for others and always took time out to listen and converse with people of all ages. This is one black day for world motorsport.
My condolences to the Brock family.
One thing is for sure, he will never ever be forgotton.

R.I.P. king of the mountain, Peter Brock.

Try a 180b sedan tail shaft, depending on how your L series is mounted you may not even need to chop it. I had a ute diff in my two door with the CA and a gazelle box, the 180B shaft bolted straight in. Cheers. Adam.
