im not sure how the immobiliser works or even if thats what it does, but with my brothers sss pulsar it want start if you open the car door with the key and try to start it. If you loose the remote you unlock the car and have to over ride the immoiliser (eg. turn key on off 20times in 60seconds) then your engine can start but each combination is unique to a car i think. it must run through the factory ECU computer.

also in the blove box there was a key and you could turn the immobiliser system on/off if you wanted. (1992 Aus spec with NISS Jap spec didnt come with NISS) - i want a similar sytem for my ute. problem is the A series doesnt have ECU - all the more reason why im planning an SR conversion.!!!

kool. im not really fussed on the alarm microwave detection thing - i really only want the immobiliser so my engine doesnt start without the central locking unlocking the car. i would like to get it installed but i dont want the guys chopping up my doors or something to install them. doesnt sound like rocket science though. any brands prefferd? i have heard that mongoose is good.

these sound like prrety complex set ups! iv got 120Y struts with 180sx SR20 calipers and rotors. Kev rowley in brsibane does the fitment. take the parts to him and he'll set it up and you can drive away. 120Y struts bolt up to the 1200 (ute) and you dont have to alter the spring seat for the springs - iv heard people have to do that with other set ups like the 200B struts.

hey kool to see the chicks getting involved!!! it will cost alot of many to get the job done in a shop - my brother and i are doing an sr20det conversion in our garage and were JUST gonna meet our budget. to do everything from electric fuel pump - new fuel line - upgraded brakeds, filter, computer, computer harness to 1200 harness, diff ect ect with a 1200 garu in queensland (Kec Rowley) is about $6000 excluding motor and box. its gonna be more give than take as well! i was going to go the option of buying a ute with conversion already done to minimise miscilanious costs (hydrolic clutch, filter, new shocks) and to minmise work. so i rekin that would be an option for you to consider as you have to pay to get all the work done. if you do go the option of getting a shop to do it make sure your brother deals with the bloke cause there are plenty of dodgy machanics with woman clients.
