hokay, try this.go to a nissan dealer & see if the rear wheel studs for a 240z are still available.these were recommended to me by arthur jackson(arfa) as the longest studs made by nissan.also, ford falcon (late ones) have been used as they have metric threads,or just use falcon wheel nuts with the old imperial threads.all you need to do is drill out the hubs to 15.5 mm,then use a rattle gun to pull the studs in.don't laugh, these were fitted to a datsun 1200 hub,on a datsun 1000 with 11 inch front brakes,& they're were LOOOOONNNG.this might be the solution, one way or the other.

using the a14 piston, which is 120 thou bigger, will give you 1270 cc,well under 1300.so theres nothing stopping you.also, check some later a12's,i think the a12a's have the same size wrist pin as a14's.

popped back into the pick & payless at blacktown again today,(just passing, saw the light on),& they have 2 a15's in vanettes as well as the a14,so you have a choice.there's also still the 1200 coupe & a 1000 wagon as well, plus plenty of stanzas & 200b's to get the brakes off of,& a scorched 1200 ute.don't know about melbourne, though.the address for anyone interested is tattersall rd,blacktown,on the corner, next to the sims metal yard.

both a14's & a15's are a 76mm bore.as for the funny sump splash guard,is this a 3 sided baffle around the pick-up,which is normal,or a more elaborate set-up.this could be an anti-surge baffle,good for keeping oil around the pick-up.

easiest way i've found, particularly if the car is junk,is to drop the crossmember, engine, gearbox, manifolds etc, onto the ground, get 3 or 4 people at the front, then lift the body up & over the engine, gearbox etc.& pushl the car back.the front of the car is lighter, particularly with the struts out, than the engine.i learnt this method from practical experience.

nothing comes to mind as a simple bolt-on,but the sunny has the same brakes as the japanese assembled stanza,so they are reasonable.the most realistic swap is to the girlock stanza strut, which is also shorter, giving a drop in ride height.these also bolt in,using either the stanza or sunny strut tops.i assume this is for a sunny.
