You should always pay a holding deposit & get a receipt stating exactly how much is owing & what is included in the price. That way the seller won't have a leg to stand on. Looks like Karma anyway. I'm sure you'll find a better ute & be happier in the long run.

What 4 spds fit a manual sedan

I am thinking of options to replace the A12 in my manual sedan. I want more torque but don't need a 5 speed or want to modify the transmission tunnel. Which of the following would fit without modifying the tunnel?
A14 & 4spd
A15 & 4spd
L16 & 4spd (Stanza)
Any other ideas.
I edited the heading as it's not really appropriate. I really want to know what 4spds fit in the manual tunnel as this seems to be the main limiting factor

That is excellent work. It's a bit hard to see if it might work but have you thought about going to a rectangular exhaust over the diff. I have seen it done on hotrods & it looks great if you continue it out the back. You might lose some flow but I doubt you would be lacking in performance anyway.

If you don't want the look of a bonnet scoop or just want something different, you can buy a stainless steel louvre vents. Go to www.bla.com.au & look under engine room vents. There are a few different types & they look to be very well made.

I know its front wheel drive, but does that mean I can put the 2.4 out of my accord euro into my Datto. Won't the Honda be a bit of a slug if I put the 1200 in to replace it? Ahhh, the possibilities.

What about the current Holden Barina (Opel/Vauxhall Corsa)? Before you laugh, there are a lot of similarities. They are nippy for such a small motor (1.4). They handle really well through roundabouts. They have 2 doors & 4 doors as well as a sports model, the 1.8 SRI. They have the potential for substantial powerups ie. 1.8 astra, 1.8 astra turbo, 2.2 Vectra motor. They have good brakes and they are better put together (and heavier unfortunately) than most of the competition. The current corollas, civics, etc have got too big. If only I could fit chrome bumpers & rear wheel drive. The silvias & skylines are not really the same as 1200s.

Cole is after more torque for her auto sedan & doesn't want a manual. I was thinking of getting a rusted out automatic Stanza & fitting the motor, gearbox, engine crossmember, brakes & anything else that might fit. Has anyone done this? What's involved. I have an arc welder & a mate has a mig (and can use it) so nothing is impossible. IWe are trying to avoid fuel injection because of the cost.

I was thinking about your seats & thought of something else. If you want the seats close to the floor & don't care about adjustment, getting rid of the rails & bolting straight up might work. I found the old rails move around anyway & if you are the only driver, who cares? P.S. The best seats I've owned were Holden Vectra.

Yeah, I did a bit of internet research for fun. Some bikes have an electric reverse & one guy used a flywheel & starter motor. If I got serious, the first thing I would do is contact a trike manufacturer as the technology should be similar. I also thought about a shaft driven bike as a donor.
