Well I got the wheels back from the powdercoaters & had a nice set of yokohama 185/60 x 13's fitted by Bob Jane. I love the look but as you can see I have clearance problems (My fault for not checking first). Now I have to decide if I should get flares, flare the guards or get new wheels. Any ideas?
Let us all know how things go with the repairs. I had to take my wifes car (Holden Vectra) back to the repairer over & over until they got it mostly right. They fitted a reconditioned headlight & the beams were upside down & couldn't be reset. I gave up & sold the car. I suppose I am just warning you to check the repair work carefully. Good luck.
I would have thought this would run really well if jetted right. Holden used two downdraught strombergs on the X2 motors. They really only had the twin carbs, a light cam & headers but were vastly superior to the standard engine. Mind you, very few people could tune them properly. Sorry to talk about holdens. I know it is upsetting for some.
I'm 44. After my daughter bought her 1200 sedan & I drove it, I couldn't believe how much fun it was. I had hot holdens when I was in my teens & twenties but found they were a bit slow round corners. I guess I am just hooked now.
I suddenly feel like an underachiever. Thanks Boof for the answer on Lagwagon. My daughters a huge punk fan so I'll get her to find some of their music for me.
