This motor is not a street motor. It was built by Lance in Japan when he worked with Tomei, Les at Classic Datsun Motorsports has the second motor he built and knows the history behind them.
This motor red lined at 10,500 rpms.
It is interesting that you metioned the rockers because this motor seems to have what looks like stock rockers, with heavy duty double valve springs.
I would be interested if you could elaberate more on the fix to the problem. I am not familiar with the spacers you mentioned.
You help would greatly be appreciated.
