oi... thats not very nice, did i have a go at anyone???

a few facts: i love music, i own a huge sound system, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keyboard, $$$ of audio software and turntables... i spead all my time (when not fiddling with the B310) making music... i agree live sets do not take alot of talent!!! (producing/remixing quality stuff does)...

BUT WHO DOSEN'T LOVE JUMPPING AROUND TO SOME DOOF DOOF EVERY NOW AND THEN
Im the guy with the light on my forehead above the DJ's head

also notice that the DJ has his entire set planned on his laptop using LIVE v3... now thats simple

idiots playing techno samples???
there is more skill involved in electronic music than you'd think.

you only have your youth once, there is plenty of time for dire straights later

My B310 is an a12 and im in the process of building an exhaust, what size single pipe would best suit the webber setup?

i have found that the sunny is strangled by the stock exhaust... i simply un bolted the back half of the exhaust for the hell of it and with no other tweaking it ran noticably quicker... also adding a webber soon, on the subject of the webber, try to feed it cold air as that helped the potential of my stock carby also

dat_1200_ute,
reasearch a subject before you speak with authority and when you do, realise who is really wasting their money...

sure focal speakers will out perform sony anyday. But we're talking about subs, they all have unique specs and if you take them into account when you build a box it will be quality...

a 4th order bandpass box is extreme quality for low bass but needs HUGE rear enclosure for speakers with a large VAS (generally cheaper). Mounting two of them isobarically enables you to half the size of the enclosure making it high quality/power and practical.

Sure, buy 2 $1000 subs and build a quality box and you will have unbeatable sound but thats not the buget we are talking about... my point is you can save alot of money by putting in effort instead of coin which can be better spent on making your precious a12 sound good.

Shame. What sound could be nicer than a well tuned exhaust system.

Not much, but i'l prefer to be listening to quality tunes for an hour than a loud monotone growl

yes but the sweet sound of a datsun engine gets annoying after an hour on the freeway

yes throw a screwdriver through the xplod speakers and buy a couple of drivers with all their specs included (vas, Q-values, etc). Next, burn what you have already made and download winISD , design a 4th order band-pass box with with isobaric speaker setup and a port about 30cm long. run the port from the box in the boot to the parcel shelf so it sits flush... LOUD and quality... what more do u want?

serious bang for buck... you will be pleasently suprised when your two $80 10" subs out-perform your mates 2 $150 12" pioneer or other (look at my subs... aren't they pretty) brand.

get ALL the speaker specs, put abit of precision work in and you'll be pleasently suprised

step off soap-box...
