Have you checked if the welsh plugs have been pushed into the block when sumone has changed them last. i have seen a few people do this before and it causes restrictions in the coolant passages. just a thought. i havnt seen an a12 for a while so i cant remember if they do have welsh plugs in the side of the block but it may be worth checking.

I put my ca18 turbo internals into the stumpy box when i did my conversion. when i puled my stumpy box apart to check its condition after i bought it i found that the gears were heaps smaller compared to the ca ones. i had to dissmantal the output shaft and use the stumpy one because the ca one is mutch longer. i think it should be worth the effort in the end.
can any one post some pictures up of there stumpy crossmembe, im thinking of changing mine as its a bit bodgie. thanx

Sweet i shal have to try this for my new front brakes. i have a vl turbo at home so i will have to borrow some parts of it for a wile. i think that vl turbo and vn brakes are the same. that braket looks preety easy to make what thickness steel did you use tappet ? and what did you use for a dust seal on the inner bearing?

I didnt want to change the front brake setup but i think its becoming my only option. il have to look into the commodore brake conversion maby the vl turbo brakes are the go ive seen a few with these brakes before.
the axles cant be re drilled because it has 3 holes in it other then the ones for the studs. there is one big one for adjusting the handbrake and i think the other 2 are for removing the nuts that hold the axle in so there is no room left for any more holes.
i tried using pintara axles but they couldnt be resplined cause of the taper just before the spline.

What about the regulator? do you have another one spare you could try. If its not working proply it wont supply power to the fuses from memory.
