Holy s**t, i cant believe ive never seen this coupe around before!! i live literally 5 mins away from were you took the pics of the coupe after being painted in mooroolbark out front of celebrations bottle o and the cop shop.... anyway car looks great! my ute is almost on the road (just a stocker rebuilt a12 with some body work and shed job respray...) would love to see this thing out and about in the near future! Cheers Eddy

Thanks Eddy! I drive it daily from Chirnside Park to Dandenong South these days... actually I get around a fair bit! Not so much down Mooroolbark way any more though. Once your car is running you'll have to come down on one of the cruises and you can see my datto beast in the flesh

One of the things that I found interesting on the day was when all the lads in their lowered cars went over the speedhumps it was all delicate and sideways, while Dattogal on the other hand... Well what can I say. It was like watching the Dukes of Hazzard going over a creek. SkaDoosh... Like she was tyring to say in massive capital letters FCUK YOU to all the others.

Between that and the spiral plumes of blue smoke engulfing my cabin from the Dattogalmobile it took me back to the old 'compression session' days. It smelt like an oil burner in my car, and it wasn't even from me for a change. I thought I was literally going to cough smoke.

Might want to check for any evidence of valve stem seals.

Hehe you know me well Revhead, I *was* trying to say FKU to the dudes with the superlow cars... tho it was more of a "OMG you are so SLOW suck on THAT". I'm an impatient woman.

No more oil smoke now Got my block rebuilt and it is sweeeeeeet. Now for an exhaust and a tune ;)

Say "sick" again Nick, ya bogan.

I had an awesome day, even managed to keep up with some of the big boys which was validating
Nice to see some new faces as well as some old ones. Keep the pics coming if you've got more cos I'm gonna show this thread to a bloke at my work, he missed out on bringing his CA sedan today and he'll be bummed.

I'm definitely up for a hanging rock cruise. Shall we try and get one organised around November?
