I did a practice run to Kinglake with my folks today. The roads were dead, but it's a freezing cold Monday...

Twisty turny but the cruise is only about 25 k's unless you wanna continue on to Healesville. MY suggestion since I am chief-pantswearer (or so I like to think) is to meet up at Kinglake Nat. Park and wait for the slowies in their non-dattos.

I'll tell you about it on the day, it's not hard to find. Right next to the "House of Bottles". Don't ask.

Rallycar's beast comes on wheels, not in trousers

In Victoria you get the red P-plates for 3 years, no speed restrictions (that I know of... I should probably check) a blood alcohol of zero and 5 points to your licence.

I didnt have to do a log book as a learner, they only just introduced that as I passed my P's. Yay.

I rear ended someone's falcon 10 days after getting my licence in my mum's car.
$50 damage to his...... $1200 my end. Ouch.

Good luck buddy! Happy driving *broom broom*

Edit: To pass your licence you have to do a computer test as well as a driving test. And the driving test was stupid, it doesnt actually test anything... hence so many useless P-platers like me!

You want space?
Try the back of a land cruiser.

You want cosy, intimate, passionate, window fogging... (you get the picture) there's nothing better than a datto 1200

On a side note, my barina has been datto-fied Melbournians can check it out at the upcoming cruise

What about the current Holden Barina

I'm with vex, the Barina's got a lot going for it.
Linky

I'm biased because i drive one, but it's great for what it's built for... a small reliable well designed car.

Pity its a FWD. And it's indicators are on the left side.

Other contenders are definitely the hyundai excel, or the toyota corolla.
