went back to work after lunch, and we unbolted the front seats and started to unbolt the dash........the screw holding the earthing wire...can't remember for what though atm, is done soooooooooooooooooooo tight that at this point neither myself or luk could unscrew it. and its screwed into the dsh on the pass. side. took the ignition barrel off, found a small patch on the driver side floor that will need a plate welded in but its so tiny so thats a good thing at least!!!

and after that we called it a day as i know have to go and do sum study for uni........yay!

Mario, have you considered Soda-Blasting? its a bit more pricey then sand blasting, BUT that said there is no chance of the panels getting warped in any way shape or form. Welcome to the community and never be ashamed of asking any questions, no matter how silly, I know i've asked my fair share along the way....we were all newbies once too!!

I am unsure what the costs of soda blasting in the US are here in sydney it cost us around the $1500 mark but well worth it and it looked awesome in bare metal!!!

my prefernce is soda blasting but everyone is different, some prefer the sad blasting over soda n vice versa its just wat our prefernce is and budget will allow...we saved up for the soda blasting but rebuilding a car - any car is a long and expensive project, you never get your $$ back that you put in but the satisfaction and pride in your final product is more than worth the blood, sweat, tears and money tht you ut into restoring such a beautiful car!!

well since we had no power today.....short circuited the power board...duno how

so whist we waited for the electrician i unscrewed n removed the tailights....no rust on the mounts n only minor rust around the outside.

and removed all front chrome and headlights and also the side indicators.

Tomorrow will be removing more stuff just the mozzies got too much to handle!!!!

it seems as though she has rolled into something n the front with all the damage to the chrome...not serious but makes it obvious, and need a new front apron and rad support..they are all damaged.

But that said they can all be replaced!!!!
