Hi, I've done a bit of re-wiring on the ute and I've stuffed things up a bit. Does any one have a wiring diagram for a '82 1200 ute?

Thanks

I would also replace the springs between the rocker arms with bushes. This will prevent the push rods bending under big revs.

How does that work? What bushes do you use?

The head was off because of broken valve spring (was the second time a spring had broken). I took it back to engine rebuilders who then fitted the head with a new set of springs (the dual springs). they said that the reason why the other ones broke was something about the spring rate for the cam?? And I'm pretty sure the guy said it was the seat pressure that was 130lb

Hi, I've got my head back from the engine rebuilders today, with a new set of valve springs. They are are double valve spring made my "Perfomance springs"- i think. Anyway, my old springs had shims to bring the pressure up and they had about 90lb of pressure. The new springs from what I've been told have about 130lb of pressure! Is this too much for a datsun motor? How much can the valves/push rods handle? I haven't put the head back on just incase this is going to F*&k my motor again!.
Thanks

My ute has gone and broken another valve spring after only having back on the road from the last valve spring that broke!.The springs that are on the head at the moment are just single springs that have been shimmed up to about 90lb. I'm just wondering what other valve springs other people use in their A series heads as this is the second time its happened so I'm trying to get engine rebuilders to get some decent springs.
Thanks

When you say 310 suspension, do you mean the control arms? Its that all thats needed to fit 910 struts to a 1200?.

Thanks

Hi, I need a little help with upgrading the brakes on my sedan for the ca18 conversion. I've done a bit of searching around the site looking at what brake upgrades other people have done but im not 100% sure which upgrade i should do. Theres been a few dissussions about brake upgrades which involve using parts from a stanza but you can't get these cars in new zealand.
What is parts are needed to fit 180b/200b struts to a 1200? Also how much better are sunny struts?
Thanks
