Definately valve stem seals. If you cant or dont want to replace them, just by thick oil to start with. #### wasting money on oil thickener when its only going to make it as thick as the cheaper priced thick oil to start with. Why not just change the engine before inspection so you get the correct engine numbers on your rego papers.

The ones you can buy are made of aluminium, but you could make them out of mild steel or stainless if you like. Remeber that a block 1"x1.5"x3" will have some weight to it if made of steel.
So looks like all are the same externally. Inside wouldnt be to hard to swap. Cut out the whole inner door under the trim and stitch weld it into the other door.

Sounds like a good idea. I am currently looking at alternate doors for my wagon. Dodgeman would be good to see your pics of the doors in your shed to see the differences.
