Hi all im looking at a diff upgrade for my coupe (have been looking at doing this for ages). What i want to know is what other vehicles beside the 1200 ute have a h165 diff centre. I think stanza, bluebird and vanett have them? which one can be shortened to fit a 1200? Im sick of looking for 1200 ute axles. I have enough centres but no axles. Now im willing to get a h165 diff from another vehicle which is more common, cheap and can get spare axles even if they have to be shortened. Cheers

I might have some in the shed i remember keeping them as they have been repaired to clear a defect for a wobbly back rest. What do you want to pay for something like that?

Hi heater hose is a no no. It will do for a patch job but thats it. Oil resistant hose is the way to go, something like transmission cooler hose. Earls performance in sliverwater is a hose specialist with quality products but it comes at a price.

If i remember correctly the pertronix instructions say to leave the standard ballest resistor and the standard coil can also be retained. Speaking about coils, a lot of people do not like to use the standard type coil as they are oil filled and can leak. Newer style coils are more compact have greater output and not oil filled.

In Sydney there is a tyre shop that sell 175-55-15. Im running them on my 1200 coupe. They look smaller than the 195-50-15 on the rear of the car. I think the are oem tyres on the smart cars.

Sounds too good to let it go to waste, especially one with a auto tunnel.
