hi guys...

my b310 sedan differential has been making alot of noise at high speeds, besides a bad leaking on the right seal that had been fixed 3 times, but still leaks! searched all around...only found a b310 station wagon axle. according to the wrecker fella, the suspension is different as the station wagon uses leaf spring, but it can fit into mine.

so what do you guys think?...can a wagon axle fit into a sedan perfecly?

and yeah..can the whole axle fit into my trunk or rear seat?

thanks in advance

sorry if this question has been raised up before...any a12 that comes with EFI? ive seen the tech section and only found out that A14 and A15 that comes with EFI. any stock a12 EFI dattos?

i've heard that in malaysia there are used a15 EFI halfcut engines from japan for sale sometime ago...i think they should come from vannettes and its probably programmed for a van use and it wouldnt suit lets say, a b310?...the ecu is reprogrammable right? thanks for your replies

mine had the exact problem too...after top overhauling and changing to a new carb(old carb not original and leaking badly) the problem is gone. before that, nothing seems to fix it..now i dont even need to put my foot on the acclerator when i start no matter how cold or long i have left the car unstarted

i havent checked my gear oil for ages...gotta open it up to check how isit like on the next service. hopefully it'll damped the noise a little.

how i wish my car was quieter on the motorway...the roaring a12 + the noisy gb makes a noisy and uncomfortable journey...like somethings gonna blow up soon

hi there!

i would appreciate if anyone here knows whats happening to my datsun b310 a12 5 speed. its 4th and 5th gear produces a 'wuuuuuu" like noise at speeds around above 50kmh and the pitch gets louder as the speed increases in both gears. the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear doesnt have this noise...even at 50kmh on the 3rd gear...

it has been going on for years even before the ride was handed down to me few years back and now its annoying me alot when i travel down the highway....i always need to blast the stereo to get rid of that noise

thanks guys for your answers

hi guys!

my b310 meters doesnt come with a tacho. i intend to get a used/new (if available and affordable) b310 meters with tacho. my question is, isit hard to dismantle the meters? i read before in other forums that its not that easy to remove the meters, and ive never tried it before.

secondly, the position that is supposed to be the tachometer in certain models is occupied with the temperature and fuel gauge in mine. will it have any effect on fuel, temp and etc. readings if the position is changed with the new meters? thanks in advance for your replies. cheerz!

hi there!

i own a similar model like yours too. but mine's a later model with square front lamps and redesigned dash and rear lamps! it comes with a12 and is a 5 speeder manual. i like the fact that yours rev's so high and i just wonder if my a12 can spin like yours too...hahaha. im not so experienced mechanically too. have u done any mod's to your a14?
