Thank you to Lagwagon for posting pics of my 1000 collection and shed. I hope these benefitted fellow site members. Thank you for the comments.
A brief history:
Red coupe purchased Jan 19990. Built to concorse standard running import 1400 GX, completed June 1991.
Race car purchased Jan 1992. Built to improved production class. Raced in hill climbs and club sprints from Jan 1994 to Jan 2000 with great success (holding hill climb record at Rob Roy for 8 years, 2008).
Due to buying houses and building sheds racing has been on hold hoping to get back on the track in the near future.
Wagon purchased Dec 2000, yet to be started (turbo A15?).
Ute purchased Nov 2005 99% finished.
White coupe (cut) was a rusted and damaged shell to be balastrading for the shed mezzanine floor.
Green coupe on trailer is a friends mid 1970's log booked car for restoration.
Queries:
1. Checkered floor is lino (cheap)
2. Ute eyebrows purchased from rustic relics in Camperdown about 4 years ago. May also be available from John's rod and customs.
Again, thanks for your great comments and feedback.

Cheers
Mopar

PS. Mopar name comes from owning a 1970 limited 400 Dodge Phoenix, sold many years ago...lost of rust, not like 1000's!

I had a look at Don's 1000 2 door sedan this afternoon. It would have to be one of the best unrestored and untouched 1000's I have seen for a long time. Totally original with a couple of very minor dents and a bit of paint fade. But, absolutely no rust anywhere. Well done Don, a great find. I am also looking for a 2 door sedan to add to my collection. Hoping to find one in as good a state as Don's.

Cheers
Mark.

Hi qik 1000,
Sorry for the misunderstanding in my last message. It was not my intention to offend but to just let you know what my experience with 1000's has been. I wish that our favourite little cars where worth a whole lot more than they seem to fetch at the moment, and I will be holding on to mine too. I wish you every success in getting good dollars for your 1000. They are a great car and getting more and more difficult to find.

Cheers
Mark.

G'Day Qik 1000,
I can appreciate how much work and money you have spent on this coupe. I built a concourse winning coupe about 20 years ago costing $6k with a free paint job. Hoping that it maybe worth a lot more in the years to come, but, no one seems to pay good dollars for very tidy 1000's.

I also have built a 1000 coupe as a improved production race car costing approximately $16K which is a front runner in hill climbs and sprints. I still currently own both these cars and also have just finished building a rat 1000 ute. These 1000's are an addiction! Having said that, I would never sell them as no one seems to pay more than $2K for a rust heap or a good find.

Best of luck with your sale, should be worth at least $6K.
Cheers Mark

G'day Lag,
Sorry to hear the wags is going. You have done such a nice job with this car. I would buy it without hesitation if I had the money as it is cheap and you know my next project is a wagon for my collection. Good luck with the sale.
Congratulations on getting married and buying your house. I hope my shed gives you inspiration for yours.

Cheers
Mark (Mopar)

PS. Give us a call..I'd like to catch up.

G'day,

It is the head light relay on the KB10 Coupe which is mounted next to the fuse box. This does not have to be earthed.
Hope this helps.

Cheers
Mark

P.S if you still need tail lights please PM me.

G'Day guys,
Great to see a cruise it has been a long time. The 1000 rat ute is 99% finished. Sorry I wont be able to make it to the cruise as Sunbury is a long way to travel from the eastern suburbs. Hope it's a great success.
Have just been to the Knox meeting driving on a trade plate. A lot of cars on display...500+. Great show!

Cheers
Mark
