For me it was a 1200 Head Gasket set that I bought off of Ebay for $25

On a side note, does anyone know about the Mazda 616 becuase I know someone who has one in good condition and He wants to sell it. The car looks very similar to a Datsun 210 Coupe.

Peace

Woah,

Hey man, great to see another Canadaian 1200 lover. I know BC has a 510 Club but its good to know that there are other guys in western Canada with 1200s

DaveB in Calgary has a couple of 1200 Coupes, I got a 1200 Sedan and a 520 Pick up.

How does the body of that Coupe you bought look? I spent a year living on thetis island (30 min ferry ride from chemainus) and I know its so wet out there, (the only place in the world where mushrooms grown in the back of trucks)

Get in touch man, I will be making the trip out to Vancouver and the Island alot in the future so we could meet up maybe.

Which town do you live in?

Anyway good luck with it and look after it :)

Peace

Scott

Heh,

I thought this was dead too...

Apparently not.

If Jesus is real He will make himself known to each person individually and then they can go ahead and make the choice for themselves.

This is a funny thread

Hey

In this club there are alot of people with alot of different engines in their 1200's.
Different guys have different views on what the best engine is, or wether to turbo or suprcharge their car...

But I think that almost everyone in the group would agree that the stock hitachi carb in the 1200 is a pile of crap.

Go have a look in the tech section on the site there are some ideas for you there.

I think that most people will go out and find a 32/36 Weber carb (Holley 5200) found on lots of vehicles.

Just an adapter plate and some jetting adjustments (plus a few other little things) and you are away.

Hope you have fun doing what your going to do,

Hey try updating your profile so we can all see where you are located, then different guys from different places can help you out.

Have fun

yeah true, but if it didnt left heat out as fast then you could have problems.

Black absorbs heat fast and radiates it fast.

It is more important to let heat out of a rad than it is to have it shiney and keep external heat out.

i mean: its more important to get the heat out of it than to worry about the minimal heat thats externally coming in.

if that makes sense, if it doesnt then i just woke up.
