Hey guys,

Im starting the restoration of my car next week and I have a couple of questions...

Does anyone have a sidedraft A12 intake manifold for sale?

Also what is a good clutch upgrade for the A12 4spd box? not top of the line or anything but a reliable improvement on the stock clutch...

Anyone got an oilpan gasket for sale? Usually they come with the complete engine gasket set but I only need the oilpan gasket. (both sides)

Thanks alot guys

SLAM

That item in the left side welch plug hole, is that a block heater?

Yup, thats a block heater... got one in my A12, exact same spot

That engine looks very clean internally, looks like you got a good one.

My dad drives an austin mini pickup truck that he built, recently he just got done putting in a new engine which is trubo'd.

The engine is an austin metro turbo engine 1.3L it uses a blowthrough turbo SU carb setup.

I drove the thing last summer and it honestly hauls a$$...

I had the idea to bolt that exact same setup to my A12.
Mainly becuase I could get all the parts from him for free and becuase the engine sizes are almost identical (100cc diff)

Very easy to put together (if you have a little metal fabrication experiance - I work in a metfab shop so its no problem)

I made a new exhaust/intake flange out of 1/2" by 3" flatbar, milled out the exhust ports and srilled the intake holes and bolt holes
( i wanted to do the whole thing cold just cuz i didnt wanto distort the metal by putting heat to it .. ie from a plazma or a torch)

Thats as far as I have gotten so far, its just a matter of fabbing up the rest and its just a bolt on upgrade to the carb/exhaust setup that is on there now.

Just need to put in an electric fuel pump and a Fuel pressure regulator... and its all good. and of course plumb in an intercooler and BOV

I will update as I carry on with this i just want to have enough boost to notice a difference in how it pulls
