I did a front end swap over a few years back after taking 6-7 months to find a sedan and then drilling all of the spot welds is a c%^t, once you have butchered the donor car you realise you have to do it again to yours and you have to be neater. I got it welded back on by someone else I was worried about it crabbing down the road/ guards and lining up
So it is not easy but doable

I went to the gov auctions in redcliffe to buy a ute.I did notice that 06 commo wagons where going between 16-17k.
