My car weighs 620kg (1364lb)
If I manage to get 180hp out of the A15 like i hope thats 7.57

If I put in that SR20DET I'm thinking of at 400rwHP then 3.41 is the magic #

That'll make it pucker up.

I spoke to the SR engine builder today. 400 rwHP is conservative he says. 500 would be closer to the mark for the car.

Are we scared yet ??

Since I'm on the west coast and no-one seems to have any idea about A series here, can I get some contact details of local gurus over there that I can chat to about my engine and cam choice?

I'm using Mazda UC pistons
4KRY2699 from the ACL catalogue
I have milled the tops off so there is no dish left at all.
Mazda pin height = 30.58
Piston length = 62.48
I have A15 crank in A14 block
0 deck height
12.9:1 static.
I really think I need valve reliefs cut however 2 engine builders have torn my motor down and rebuilt it and say its O.K.Then again I think the cams way too small. So maybe thats why I didn't need any valve reliefs.

Are these decent pistons or just std cast ones ?
I have a 77mm bore and am searching for some better quality units.
I have enlarged the gudgeons to 20mm as I am using UC Mazda pistons in mine.

So the stock ratio is 1.25 ?
I always wondered this.
I have 1.65:1 rollers. I was wondering what the difference was.

I could have cut up a sump and made my own.
But I like buying toys so I ordered a pan fromt he U.S.
The pump I have from a local manufacturer.
The tank I'm watching one on e-bay. Hoping to win the auction within the next few days.

Wow $1000 NZ.....thats like $40 Australian or something isn't it.......LMAO

I've kinda commited to this local made one now. I am getting it cheaper than $1400 but I didn't find out how much cheaper. He's keen to move some to get the name out there.I'd be keen to know who the manufacturer is that your supplier is sourcing from though.

I wish they would anser my e-mail about the sump though......I wanna get that on the way ASAP
