either find a twin SU setup or a single sidedraft weber and bolt that on.

Thats it for easy cheap stuff I can remember.
Then again I've spent way too much on my engine I can't remember what was cheap and what wasn't.

Oh yeah and take all the unnecessary junk out of the car....power to weight means everything.

I'd like one of 2 of those cheap 5 speeds too.
I looked for one for 2 yrs before I bought my celica conversion and couldn't find a single one.
So if you find them pass the info around.

The A14 and A 15 from memory have different pin heights.

I used UC mazda pistons and machined them flat and ended up with 12.9:1. This may be alittle more than you were after though.

I was thinking the same but after a brief look in the shed it seems I'm out of A series gearboxes.
I had 3 so I'm curious to know who's been in my shed. My brother has A series too......might have to go look thru his spare parts bin.
If the A series auto box has a detatchable bellhousing that would be a good place to start. Though they are rare around here

I saw someone advertising recently Stanza SSS dogleg 5 speeds for A series with the modified bellhousing. $1000 Aus

I already have a celica 5 speed in mine or I would have grabbed one.

Embarassing really as I'm not 100% happy with the conversions. It works great it just looks alittle bodgy.
I'm working on making it better when I get time.....which isn't very often mind you.

Hard to belive there are so many 1000 nuts out there.
I thought I was the only one in need of therapy.
