Hi Mildman,I dit the same as you sed,I took myne out,I think at idel the flap is half open,to keep in hot air and heat up the manifold in cold weather. There is no water going threw the A12 manifold to heat it up like the A14 and A15. In South-Africa the weather is not to bad, even in winter.Im not too sure, but thy cal that part in the manifold the HOTBOX,

Thanx I will do that, maybe it could be the fuel filter aswel, You dont think it could be valves?? I realy hope not! . The pump is about 10years now... Wil it work if I put a inline fuel pump in that pumps constantly, the carb is a hitatche,it wont flood wil it? The other pump got a presure swith.

Hi Sam,I know on the 120Y B120 ute you must take out the switch,s too, wiper, lights, choke, and then the hole panel comes of, To get the knobs of you must push the knob in and turn anti clock,

Hi Mildman,I have a 1976 120Y sunny and a 2005 Nissan A14 bakkie. I resently fit n A15 in the Datsun 120Y, In South-Africa the macs at Nissan told me the head and valve specs is the same as the A14 Head bolts 69Nm to 74Nm,Valve clearance HOT int-0,35mm out-0,35mm. I tried it and it works very fine. ccg
