haha thats my car i wouldnt recoment putting one in a 1000 (to many head aches due to the cross member and tunnel). The motor would fit quite nicely in a 1200 only problem is the sump but just use a 1.6 frwd (laser or 323) sump and pick up should fit then and the manuel gearbox its huge i mean massive the auto is smaller and they make plenty of power with a turbo a friend of mine has a 2L making 1000hp (not a road car) im looking to get about 400hp out of my 1.6 + they look the best :)

big heavy auto is in the way where the draglink would go plus i need a collapsable column now as the car has to get engineered and the engineer doesn't want the old solid column in it

hey guys well after crumbling to the pressure of my mates convincing me to put a rack in my 1000 i was just wondering if anyone has every toyed with this idea before and what ideas did you come up with. Also what rack would you of used. Ohh and if some one would be so kind to take a measurement from the steering arm to other steering arm it would be much appreciated as my font end is in bits due to putting my brakes together and other stuff up there ;)

Many thanks Tom

i work building carbon fiber race yachts (builders wild oats and the fastest race yachts in the world) and i am pretty sure i can say we have never even thought about using it due to the fact that carbon is so much easier to use in forming shapes and such becasue if bamboo was easy to use im sure we or some one say boeing would be using it today i personally thing alot of its strength comes from its shape if you get some technical data sheets D im sure i could be able to compare them to carbon
