I believe it's possible but anythings possible if you have the right cash spent on all the parts to hold the power down to the ground, I would love to see a video of the run if any body knows where to find one, what does it take to pull 10,000RPM? roller rockers, double valve springs, roller timing kit, balanced bottom end, electric water pump, electric fuel pump, full crank angle ignition syatem???? jeeeeeeeeeze the list would never end!

carby cleaner and a green kitchen scotch brite work ok on the combustion chambers and ports you can use degreaser too just clean everything up in some petrol afterward then dry it and give it a light oiling when you are ready to put it back together.
Make sure when you pull the push rods out to place them down in the order they came out, since they are happy already in that order!
C.R.C gasket stripper works fantastic on disolving old gasket gunk.
be careful with the torque wrench when you put the head back on I have seen my mate snap a stud when torqing down a head on a gemini, apparently the KINGCHROME wrench which was brand new was out of calibration! he tried to torque the head down to 60ftlb and ping she broke off! but with a bit of drilling and stud extraction we were back on the road later that day!

well theoretically a 160hp A series in a 750kg car should run mid 13 seconds but getting the power down is another story, light cars don't grip to well off the line but when they do they accelerate fantastic

you can run the thermo fan from a thermostat individually mounted on the radiator and have it fed straight from the battery through a fused lead

gotta love Harmonic Generator by the Datsuns!!
I heard the Drummer broke his ankle when he fell off his drum kit, they must play pretty darn hard for that kind of injury!!

Hi I am just wondering how to install a dizzy into an A15 that I bought with out a dizzy, I am a bit stuck because normally I would just flip the cap off the dizzy and rotate the engine till the rotor pointed at number 1 but now it makes it hard because I can't see where it should line up because ther is no dizzy to check. Should I just remove the rocker cover and rotate the engine clockwise till I see the exhaust open on number 1 then close then the intake open then close then keep rotating the engine till the timing marks line up at 0? would that be true top dead centre for number 1? and can I install the dizzy at that mark with the rotor pointing to number 1 on the cap?

all I know is that the GX bottom ends were 10.0:1 compression ratio and they were balanced the block also had slight cut outs at the edges of the bores to allow clearance for the exhaust valve lip

yep I was chatting with a mate 2 days ago about this and he says that he has encounted the very same problem in a holden 308 V8. He said to fix his dilema he advanced the cam timing by one tooth at a time so he could start the engine at the factory specified ignition timing then fine tune it from there with carb settings and dizzy dwell angle. the cam ended up being 3 teeth out but he had to remove the crank sprocket and place it on the next key way which was just slighty less advanced than the first key way he used
