I would say the easiest and cheapest way to get mobile and still remain focused on what your long term goals are for the wagon would be to pop the hood, remove the radiator hoses and drain the fluid, remove the air cleaner assembly, remove the rocker cover, check the rockers for excessive play then remove the head and check it for cracks, or rust stains around the water jackets, if it looks ok and you are willing to lay down about $35 on a new gasket kit you could try replacing the head hasket and see if it will get you going, at least you know your only going to lose $135 if it doesn't work and you don't want the car anymore, but if it does work then you can start enjoying the car now and start planning the big A15 transplant

My mate Geoff has recorded it on his Foxtel 160gig hard drive top box, apparently he can burn it to disc from there but Telstra has disabled the USB function on the box so he needs to work out a way he can transfer the file to his PC with audio video cables and record it that way, I will contact you if he manages to get it done.
Cool race by the way some of the guys there are crazy and will risk everything to gain a position at times!

looking really tops mate, are you going to compound it with a cutting compound polish in a month or two or something like that? I will do mine soon, I am installing my new A15 ex race engine shortly so I want to paint the exterior including the engine bay while the car is engineless

I think the hole would expand because the alloy will expand outwards as a whole unit, kind of like heating a roller bearing up so it can be slipped onto an electric motor drive shaft! we used inductive coils to induce an electromagnetic field into the bearing and it would warm up to about 130 degrees and expand about 40thou... thats the difference between slipping on, or destroying the bearing and shaft by beating it with a hammer trying to make it fit!
