I have a whole pile of 1000 bits in the shed sitting gathering dust, It would be good to put them on a another 1000 one day but sadly I dont think I'll ever find one in as decent condition again.. :(
Just off the top of my head I think I have a radiator in excellent condition, a sports steering wheel, a set of rear lights in good condition, a set of real good headlight / grill surrounds, I think a good grille, and a whole heap of other stuff. seriously , I can't remember whats there I need to have a look and take a couple of photos It's not stored at my property. I would like to see the parts go to a good home and used on a nicely turned out car obviously.

no its not sped up at all
all I did was get an animated gif editor, load it in and converted all frames to b&w so it would be under the maximum file size for avatars here.
I kept it in the family but unfortunately I couldnt find one of a 1200 ;)

you absolute wanker! I have a mild A15 that runs like a singer sewing machine in storage that I would kill to use in a locost (DIY lotus 7 replica to the ininitiated) but our crap licensing laws mean we have to install engines complying with current emissions standards into vehicles that are driven much less and are safer than mass produced passenger vehicles. makes me furious when I see hotrod guys being able to get away with gas guzzling 8's with holden suspension on not very complicated square tube frame chassis'

also, I forgot to mention that it has excellent tyres, bought 3 months ago.

FS my orange 1974 120Y wagon, has been my faithful servant for the last 8000ks and hasnt missed a beat. how many other cars can you stick 2 bucks worth of fuel in and make it to the city and back?

copped a yellow last week, though is only for the rear door handle rods and drivers side window winder mechanism. also needs a new exhaust manifold flange which as luck would have it fell off the day after the licky.
the body is damn straight apart from the rear passenger side door which some phantom motorcyclist decided to decorate on xmas eve, pretty free of rust too.
the rego expires in march which means plenty of time to fix the problems.
the tyres are near new too.

I'm asking $250 for the car, but am open to offers. least I see it go into the hands of a datsun enthusiast.

In the 70s aussie movie Alvin Purple he goes to a skydiving place and in the carpark there is a mint 1600 sedan and a 1200 coupe, I think there are a few other dattos throughout the movie too. He drives a pretty sweet v8 charger in the chase scene though.

yes, one of the guys in the club says his next door neighbour has a bucket registered and he has to get it inspected by a member of the hotrod association once a year apparently. we are aware of certain concessions we get at the moment so we are going to have to play it safe with any negotiations incase they backfire and result in a total clampdown.

well funnily enough the same subject came up the other night at the clubman meeting

we are talking about trying to get a standardised national code for our type of vehicle, and are liasing with several clubs that have had the same uphill battle (eg trikes). we have had people go over the pits with things like aeroscreens and sidepipes and get knocked back, only to have cars with the same thing get passed on any other day. and why is it with a vehicle that is feasibly only driven 10% of the time we have to comply with euro 2 emission standards?

another point to note is we have to comply with something like 4000 nm of torsional rigidity for our chassis' from what I saw at a recent hot rod show I'm sure there are alot of vehicles that would twist if put on the testbed.

and Prb's , Amaroo's , Leitchs, Locost's , Westfields , Caterhams etc aren't for all intents and purposes the same car as a lotus 7? that was my point.
