I had an interesting experience as well. I was driving home from school and saw a schmick granny spec 1200 coupe complete with the grandma driving through Winston Hills (sydney). So i chucked a handbrakie and she pulled into the shops about 500 metres down and I talked to her for 5 minutes. Apparantly her brother had bought it new and left it to her in his will.

Unreal - I used to see her driving all the time - she was just around the corner from us. It is a pearler.

I'd grab that in a heart beat. Would make a great weekend cruiser and a turboed A series just looks right in there.

That 310 is a great example of the global economy in action.

It was sent from Japan to New Zealand and after being enjoyed by a few owners was offered for sale by a German studying law in New Zealand.

A New Zealander living in the US used Paypal to buy it off a website while on a family vaction in Canada.

His brother who is currently in Australia will be picking it up in a couple of weeks.

And it is being stored/repaired by a bloke neither have met. Heck I'm starting to sound like Dodgeman!

The 120Y and the 310 Sunny have different tailgates/hatches.

Hey LTR - firstly thank you for all your work on this and your vision to see it through to completion.

I would suggest that you cast and machine only 1 head at this time and build it and get it running. Then you can demonstrate the completed item and ask people to pay.

You will have more people buy then - especially if you have worked out any little design kinks etc before running 40+ units.
The discount would still apply and you could make enough back on your machining to offset your up front costs.

Is this possible?
