The wiper blade wore out or was damaged and the arm began to contact the glass. Eventually the previous owner (relation?) figured it out and replaced the insert but the
damage was done. Either that or your Mum scratched it deliberately because you keep on doing burnouts in her driveway.

A front end clip is normally a front end cut - a complete section of a wrecked car from the A pillar foward - obviously with a front wheel drive this gives you
all the drivetrain.
I suspect what the strut/brake swap post meant was the complete front suspension.

Will it do this when stationary? If so bang a meter on the HT lead and see if you lose zap when it is cutting out. Sounds fuel related to me though - let it cut out and check fuel
level in filter and float level in carb. If they are suspect then could have a crimped fuel line or problem with pickup in the fuel tank. You have replaced the carb - what with? Brand
new? Rebuilt? Used? Judging by the photos in your garage the car has sat for some time so could be related? We'll be interested in hearing what the fix is!

Andrew had his well-sorted CA18DET coupe for sale for 10K - don't know if he still has it or not.
Depends which country you're in. Aus prices would be about 3K for motor, box and after-market computer + engineers report. Depends how much work you can do yourself like
engine and gearbox mounts, plumbing, brake, suspension and diff upgrade. Time and energy figures are best from Andrew or Dattodude.

I figured it was you! Not man enough to admit that you've fallen for twelvie power?! Come on now - fess up to the great sales job I did on you. You know 1200's have more
going for them than Skylines! No poor little rich boys here - just honest folk who appreciate getting their hands dirty. Pushrod da power!!

I've never met a thick Texan before - mind you I was living in the South in NC. If you appreciate 1200's then you can't be thick.
Donk is a kiwi slang term for motor and is short for, you guessed it, donkey. It's origins come from horsepower as in how many HP is your motor - the US equivalent is ponies.

Kiwis are innovative with language thus: 'What size is your donk?' and 'That's a smaller donk than I was expecting' are perfectly acceptable in NZ. Saying those sort of
things overseas can get your eyes stabbed out.
Tonight's homework is to go over to your neighbor's house and ask if he minds you checking out the size of his donk. Let us know his reaction.
