It is possible to have both stainless pipe and muffler(s) attached to a 1200. Pretty expensive and only really worth it if you do a lot of cold running for short periods of time and don't get the condensation out of your exhaust system. Then there is always the pose value :)

Sounds like Big Man 2850 got a little adrenalised there. 4000 RPM at 200k's would be one tall diff ratio! Mind you Andrew's car is freaky enough it might be legit. We need the facts Andrew - rumours starting to fly!!

Thanks for that info Andrew - where did your original 4 leaf spring come from? A ute; extra leaf from e.g 120Y; or were they custom made? Cheers.

Gidday - just been looking at buying a 1200 ute. I know the diff is lower and the axles bigger but did anyone also use the 4 leaf springs for their coupe? Andrew you've got reverse eye rear springs but are they 3 or 4 leaf? The ute rear is going in my track car. Any help appreciated - thanks all.

As Andrew said the only reason to stroke a 1200 is to meet class requirements for racing - e.g. you must use an original block. If your budget is like the rest of us then you should forget the stroker and build up a healthy A14 or A15 - heaps cheaper and within the same HP as the stroker A12. Depending on your prices you could also buy and fit a standard import motor eg CA18DE and 5 speed for heaps less than the build costs for the stroker A12.

Do you have Nissan Urvans there? - they're worth checking for a radiator.
